Catholicos is an Australian publishing brand dedicated to creating beautiful and meaningful resources that help children grow in the Christian faith.
Our goal is simple: to help families pass on the faith to the next generation through books, art, and thoughtfully designed products that reflect the richness of Christian tradition.
The name Catholicos comes from an ancient Christian word meaning “universal.” It reflects the shared faith of Christians throughout the world and across the centuries.
Our motto is “Be Courageous.”
Why We Created Young Catholics
Many children hear prayers at church long before they fully understand them.
The Young Catholics series was created to help children recognise these prayers, learn their words, and begin to understand their meaning in a simple and visual way.
Our first book, Young Catholics: Our Father, introduces children to the Lord’s Prayer, helping them connect the words they hear in the liturgy with images and ideas they can understand.
The goal is not only to help children memorise prayers, but to help them begin a lifelong relationship with God.
A Growing Series
The Young Catholics series is designed to grow alongside children as they learn the foundations of the Christian faith.
Future books will explore prayers, devotions, and teachings that children encounter in the life of the Church.
